Our client is one of Australia’s leading pet insurance providers. They are looking for a medically minded Claims Consultant to join their permanent team. The Role

As a Claims Consultant, you will use your clinical background to assess and process insurance claims. You will be responsible for

• Reviewing veterinary medical histories and SOAP notes to determine claim eligibility
• Using your knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures to assess complex cases
• Liaising with veterinary clinics to clarify treatments and gather clinical information
• Providing empathetic and clear communication to pet owners regarding their claims
• Ensuring all assessments align with policy guidelines and industry best practices

About You

We are looking for someone who loves the veterinary industry but is ready for a professional office-based career.

• You are a Qualified Vet Nurse holding a Certificate IV, or a dedicated trainee/student currently studying toward your qualification
• You possess a solid understanding of common pet illnesses, surgeries, and medications
• You are comfortable translating complex medical information into plain English for customers
• You have a sharp eye for detail and enjoy working through cases thoroughly
• You are confident using multiple systems and picking up new software quickly
